Commonwealth International Academy is proud to partner with Canada Homestay Network as CIA’s official homestay provider. The host families of Canada Homestay Network create a safe and comfortable home-away-from-home for international students.  Canada Homestay Network is practical, economical, supported, personalized and safe.Visit Commonwealth International Academy’s page on the CHN website in order to learn more about staying with CHN.

Before applying to CHN for homestay the student needs to submit an application package to CIA. The student must receive a letter of acceptance from the school before they can apply to CHN.

If you have any questions please reach out to Commonwealth International Academy at or you can contact Canada Homestay Network on their website.

The easiest and most convenient way for international students to live in Canada while studying is to use an accredited Homestay program. CIA uses the Canada Homestay Network (hyperlink to CHN.) After applying to CIA you can contact Canada Homestay Network to arrange accommodation.

Alternative methods of accommodation can be arranged by families. Some families may be able to make arrangements for the international students to stay with other family members already living in Edmonton. Families are also free to have students live independently in the city. CIA does not provide any housing support or accept any responsibility for students living independently.
